Film & Discussion: Eating for Our Health and Planet
Join us for an evening exploring how we can improve both our health and the health of our planet.
First we'll view the award-winning, condensed version of "Eating Our Way to Extinction". The film will change your perception of food and its connection to the future of our planet.
Next we'll enjoy a panel discussion with:
Seema Vaid, founder and President of A Compassionate World, whose mission is to inspire and empower individuals to make compassionate choices that benefit people, animals, and the planet. Seema is also a volunteer for Plant Based Treaty.
Adriana Telias, a PhD-trained Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and founder of Preventive Nutrition. In her practice, Adriana shares with her clients our best current understanding of the impact of diet and other lifestyle behaviors on long term health and the environment.
Jan Liband, Chief Researcher and Speaker, Plant Based Advocates. Jan works to help others understand the need for accelerating the global shift to a healthier, more sustainable, and more just plant-based food system.
Mohan Gurunathan, an engineer, activist and entrepreneur, is an expert on food systems and sustainability and played a leading role in convincing the City of Mountain View to include plant-based diet promotion in their 2019 Environmental Sustainability Plan.
All who register will receive a toolkit to help increase your own and your community's adoption of plant-based eating.
Bring your own dinner—we’ll provide the popcorn!
